Danish Crafts & Design Association
DKoD is a national organization for professional designers and craftsmen. The organization has the aim to support high quality practice, professional collaborations and networking. This is achieved through various activities such as public events, seminars, fairs and international exhibitions.
This year The Biennale for Crafts & Design took place in Copenhagen, that is a competition and exhibition for all professional craftsmen and designers. Biennale award: 100.000 DKR.
This year’s theme for the Biennale, Making is Connecting, aims to showcase materials, sensory perception and craft in a field which is still renewing itself by means of concrete experimentation and through the scrutiny of new technologies, historical materials and techniques. The greatest possible development in terms of aesthetics, function, process and materials occurs where craft and design intersect. The Biennale aims to promote new collaborations, methods, and works created in a field covering craft, art, design and architecture.
