Nordic Textile Art is, in cooperation with the Icelandic textile association Textílfélagid, arranging a textile meeting in Reykjavik from march 22nd to march 25th. At the same time in Reykjavik there ist the design festival HönunnarMars.The annual meeting will be held on march 25th.
A meeting where textile art is in focus. During the HönnunarMars-days where Iceland is swarming with exciting design, exhibitions, installations and lectures, we get the opportunity to by personal meetings and stimulating circumstances, discuss the textile art in both present time, future and historically.
During the days on Iceland there will be bathing in hot springs, artistic meetings, lectures and other exciting things. We will meet with Asdis Birgisdottir, retiring chairwoman in Textile Guild (Textílfélagid) and Kristín Gunnlaugsdóttir, kristing.is.
