For me, nature is an exciting adventure of shapes, with lines, forms, and colours. They become Symbols in my weavings and paintings. Welcome to visit my landscapes.

I was born 1952 in Stockholm, where I continue to live and work. I have received my education in textiles, particularly weaving, at Handarbetets Vänner, one of Sweden's leading institutions for advanced textile education, as well as at S:t Göran’s Weaving School, where I pursued advanced textile studies. In addition to this, I have also studied art at the University of Stockholm, which has provided me with a broad perspective that bridges craft and conceptual art.

Through my art, I investigate the relationship between pain and joy. I work with allowing colours and the textile surface to depict the complex interaction between these emotions, embodied in textile works. I am looking into the dynamics between texture, colour, and form by merging traditional techniques with innovative expression.

My working process begin with a feeling or a story, which I connect to nature’s adventurous play of lines, colours, and shapes. These elements become symbols in my landscapes. Each of my tapestries is based on a sketch and realised over months of weaving, row by row, on the loom. I start by transferring the structural lines from the sketch onto a full scale working drawing for the upcoming piece. This drawing remains beneath the warp throughout the process, guiding me in maintaining the overall composition.

For the colours, I arrange them in colour themes. These colours blend in countless variations as the weaving progresses, create a visual impact that is unique to the lustrous qualities of linen yarn, my most frequently used material. My tapestries have been featured in numerous exhibitions across Sweden and are part of private collections, companies, and the Municipality of Stockholm.
